The Ranger prospect, who was born in L. a rangeland town, told NHL.COM on Monday he is hoping his contact lenses will help him get through the game.
“I was thinking about it a lot, I was looking for a little bit of a different thing,” he said.
“It’s nice to have the opportunity to play for the Rangers.”
Contact lenses are made by a company called Lava.
They’re designed to be worn during games and to keep your eyes clear during the game as well as during your off-season recovery.
The lenses also help prevent eye strain during the winter months.
The contact lenses are priced at $100.
The Rangers did not announce any lineup moves on Monday.
